The sections of this privacy policy are listed below :
TeamMap "Public" is an application running on Apple and Android Devices that allows members of the public to contribute reports to organisations using the TeamMap app.
No account is required to install the TeamMap "Public" app.
No personal data needs to be entered to use the TeamMap "Public" app.
The TeamMap "Public" app requests the user to enter a string of text (requested as their "first name") to help full team user's of TeamMap to identify multiple reports from the same member of the public and to be able to refer to the reporter in their responses.
However it is totally acceptable for the member of the public to only enter a non uniquely identifiable part of their name, or to enter a pseudonym.
IndexThe TeamMap "Public" app allows a user to submit a report containing text, an optional photograph, a location and a time of submission.
These reports are available to all members of the team.
These reports may be made available to other users of the public app if the team decide such release is in the public interest, one example being, aiming to reduce duplicate reporting.
The nature of these reports is such that there is no need to enter personal information in the text, however if the user does so, they must accept that this data will be shared with members of the team and potentially with other members of the public.
The location data attached to these reports can be set to either the user's current location at the time of submission or to an alternative location.
In the case of the former, any member of the team or any member of the public reporting to the team, who is able to guess who the person doing the reporting is, may be able to infer where that reporter was at the time of submission.
IndexTeamMap "Public" uses the current location of the user to identify teams the member of the public could contribute reports to.
TeamMap "Public" displays the current location of the user on a map to assist the user in submitting reports, either from their current location or somewhere near their current location.
TeamMap "Public" requires permission to access the current location of the user, but this is limited to "only whilst using the app".
TeamMap "Public" does not access the user's location in the background, i.e. when the user is not using the app".
The current location data of the user is not shared with any other members of the team, or other members of the public reporting to the team.
See also comments above on member location data attached to submitted reports.
TeamMap "Public" does not provide access to the location data of full members of the team.
